Electrolysis

Electrolysis

Electrolysis is a permanent hair removal method in which a fine probe is inserted into the hair follicle, and a small amount of electric current is applied. This destroys the hair follicle and can no longer nourish new hair, making electrolysis a permanent solution.

It is a safe and effective technique that is recognized as the Gold Standard for permanent hair removal by physicians and the American Medical Association. Additionally, electrolysis is effective for removing colored hair, including grey, blond, dark, and red hair, making it a versatile hair removal option for a wide range of individuals.

Types of Electrolysis

There are three types of electrolysis: Galvanic, Thermolysis, and Blend. Galvanic electrolysis is a process in which the current produces a chemical reaction in the hair follicle that destroys the hair growth cells. Thermolysis, also called short-wave, produces heat that destroys the hair follicle. The blend method is the combination of the two and is considered to be the most effective permanent hair removal solution.

Blend Method – The Best Type of Electrolysis

The blend method is the best type to effectively and safely remove hair from various body parts. Sonya employs the Blend method to perform the electrolysis sessions.

This method inserts a fine needle into the hair follicle, and a combination of DC and HF current is applied to the hair follicle. The DC causes a chemical reaction destroying the hair follicle, while the HF generates heat, further destroying the hair follicle.

Benefits of the Blend Method

The blend method is a popular and widely used technique in electrolysis for hair removal, known for its effectiveness, precision, and safety.

  • The method effectively treats all hair types, including those that are difficult to remove with other hair removal methods, such as gray, blond, dark, or red hair. It is also useful for treating hair in areas with thick or coarse hair growth.
  • The method allows for precision hair removal, meaning only unwanted hair is targeted while the surrounding skin is left unharmed. It is also a safe and effective method of permanent hair removal, as it destroys the hair root and prevents it from growing back.
