Before-After

BEFORE & AFTER CARE

Pre-Treatment

  • Avoid tweezing or waxing the area before the treatment. Shaving between appointments with a single- or double-bladed razor is best.
  • Let your hair grow in for 3 days, or let it become a 1/8 of an inch long, or long enough to grab the hair with tweezers.
  • Drink plenty of water and use a daily moisturizer to help the current work well.
  • No caffeine for 4 hours prior to the appointment. Caffeine makes the procedure more painful.
  • You may take a Tylenol or ibuprofen 30 minutes prior to the appointment to help relieve discomfort.

Post-Treatment

  • Keep the area clean with witch hazel, peroxide, or alcohol – witch hazel is recommended.
  • Keep hands from touching the treated area.
  • Do not use any abrasive scrubbing on the treated area.
  • Avoid tanning or sunbathing for 48 hours.
  • Do not use pools, hot tubs, or lakes for at least 3-4 days after treatment.
  • Do not wear any makeup for 24 hours.
  • Do not pick at scabs or pustules if they occur, as this interrupts the healing process.
  • Antibiotic creams can help the healing process.
  • Use only fresh makeup purchased within the last 90 days to minimize infection.
